Walk-in burglary – 1 in 4 through an unlocked door!

Ask yourself, why have a door on your home if you’re just going to leave it unlocked?

It can only take a matter of seconds for someone to open an unlocked door or window and get their hands on your personal belongings.

It is extremely distressing for a victim of walk-in burglary to come to terms with the fact that a stranger has been in their home, and it’s even more distressing to learn that they allowed them to do it.

No matter how many times people are told to keep their doors and windows locked, they still leave it to chance by not locking them.

It is usually when people become victim to this type of crime do they realise how easily it could have been prevented in the first place.

Don’t give thieves the opportunity, the advice is simple – LOCK YOUR DOOR!

Be BRIGHT, leave on a light, Be DIM, let the burglars in.

By introducing timer switches into your home when the nights get darker, you are less likely to become victim to a burglar.

How many people go out and leave the landing light on? But when you are in the home, who sits in the living room in the dark with the landing light on?

Timer switches turn lights on and off in different rooms at different times so it gives the impression that someone is in the house.

Look out for campaign details in local press throughout the winter months and for opportunities to get discounted timer switches.
