Safer Hartlepool Partnership

NOT CONTENT with just helping to prevent crime, Safer Hartlepool Partnership has given away the hottest games console on the market to one lucky resident.

After signing up to the innovative Neighbourhood Watch system Ringmaster, designed to help tackle crime across the town, Lesley Mann from the Dyke House area was automatically entered into a free prize draw in which she won a Nintendo Wii.

The draw which was designed to entice more members to sign up to the system, saw Lesley win her first ever prize.

“I am over the moon as I have not won anything before so it’s fantastic, especially when my son will be so pleased when he gets it for Christmas.

“I joined Ringmaster about five months ago and it really helps me to feel safer. I would definitely recommend it because it lets you know about crime in the town.” She said.

The popular games console was donated by Julie Richardson from Key Stage Recruitment, whose specialist teaching and special needs agency works to support local schools with their supply recruitment.

Julie said: “I think it is a great system that enables people to stay safe and one step ahead of crime. When I heard that Ringmaster supported a School Watch, I wanted to get involved as it further supports our company philosophy to keep schools sustainable.”

Managed by the Safer Hartlepool Partnership for Cleveland Police, Ringmaster sends out free crime messages to everyone who signs up which relates to where members live or work by email, text message, mobile or home telephone and can be sent wherever or whenever that person wants specific crime information.
Brian Neale from the Safer Hartlepool Partnership, said: “I would like to thank Key Stage Recruitment for donating the prize and hope it will encourage more people to sign up to the scheme.

“It is in every resident’s best interest to sign-up to Ringmaster, it only takes a couple of minutes to register and there is no hassle from then on.”
Ten thousand people across Hartlepool are being targeted for the revolutionary system which will bring neighbourhood watch into the 21st Century by creating the largest community intelligence network in the town.

The introduction of the Ringmaster system in Hartlepool has been a major step forward for neighbourhood watch and one that will see it having a positive impact on crime across the town in the future.
