Operation Cleansweep

Operation Clean Sweep was launched by Mayor Stuart Drummond in December 2003, in a bid to improve the appearance of Hartlepool.

Operation Clean Sweep is an intelligence led, multi-agency campaign aimed at addressing specific issues within a neighbourhood in order to transform the local environment, create safer & stronger communities and provide reassurance to the people of Hartlepool.

The campaign focuses intensive resources, on a specific area, for a maximum of one week which has been shown to make a big difference both physically and in terms of community impact.

The dates of the remaining Clean Sweeps for 2009 are:

North Area - 17th August

Central Area - 21st September

South Area - 27th July & 23rd November
